Yes, the Sky Seems to be Falling!
That’s right. Adepticon 2020 has been cancelled – this sucks.
Apparently, the Corona Virus isn’t just a China problem. It’s now here in the US, and in response, a number of events are now in jeopardy of being cancelled. GAMA happened earlier in the month, but it sounds like a number of vendors pulled out. So it’s no surprise that Adepticon pro-actively pulled the plug on 2020. I guess it’s better to be safe than sorry, but definitely a bummer. It’s too early to tell how many more cons will be cancelled or rescheduled – not to mention if other things will be closed down to limit the spread of the virus.
From AdeptiCon…
We understand that this will impact all of you. It also impacts our exhibitors, staff, the venue, and the local community. It is not a decision we have made lightly; it is a decision based entirely on keeping people safe and healthy. It goes without saying that no one is more heartbroken about this situation than the AdeptiCon team. We look forward to seeing all of you every year, sharing our love of the hobby and revisiting friendships cultivated over years of the convention.

In the meantime, I’m going to take advantage of staying home and try and get as much hobbying done as possible. Hopefully, things will be getting back to normal soon!
